Shock Absorber: the sports bra that treats support as engineering

A compression top flattens. That works to a point, then stops — above a D cup, flattening is not support, and the movement that causes discomfort is not up and down but a figure of eight. Shock Absorber builds encapsulated bras that hold each side independently, which is what actually reduces movement at speed.

Bands 32 to 40, cups B to H, in wired and non-wired high-impact styles.

Where it fits

Choose Shock Absorber for running, HIIT and anything with repeated impact, particularly if you are D+ and have concluded that sports bras simply do not work. For lower-impact work — yoga, walking, pilates — a softer sports bra will be more comfortable and support is less critical.

Fit notes

The band should feel noticeably firmer than an everyday bra, because it is doing more work. Take your usual size and expect it to feel tight when new. If you can pull the band more than an inch from your back, it is too loose to control movement.
